1st Anniversary away from home 

In loving memory of John (Sean) Kenny whose 1st anniversary occurs on 11th of July 2025
Deeply loved, sadly missed and always remembered by Geraldine, Pascal, his Neighbour Sadie,  his Best Friend Sharon and his wide circle of friends and family. 

 

For Sean

We can’t believe it’s been a year,

my how the time has flown.

Yet the sorrow deep within our hearts,

in that time has only grown.

It’s true we miss you every day,

you’re never far from mind.

We say it very often,

you were one of a dying kind.

 

For when we visit your little home,

it isn’t quite the same.

The soul has been removed from it,

and it causes us such pain.

For when we turn the lock and key ,

we expect to find you there.

We just can’t get our heads around the fact,

you’re missing from your chair.

 

And so your memory will linger on,

happier times we will recall,

Of something funny you might have said,

when you were on a call.

Those memories will resonate

and replace this awful sadness,

the images of times gone by,

will fill our hearts with gladness.

 

So Dear Sean, it is with hopefulness ,

I close this ode to you.

and hope you’re up there resting

with Marie and Paddy too.

For we would dearly love to see,

your face again someday,

and know within our broken hearts

you will always stay.
