John’s wife Pauline (nee Greaney), children Mairead, Gráinne and Eoin, grandchildren Caoilinn, Lena-Rose, Lily and Clara, brothers Bobby and Kieran, sister Eibhlín and John’s extended family are profoundly grateful for the consolation and love we have received following John’s untimely death on 11th October 2021. 

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the service in person or watched online from afar and to those who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. A special thanks to Quinns Funeral Home Glasthule who showed exceptional sensitivity and professionalism and to Father Kennedy for the beautiful Mass. 

Our eternal gratitude to John’s former classmates from 43rd Cadet Class, his former friends and colleagues from I.D.A., ESB and Savvi Credit Union and those who donated to the Irish Cancer Society in memory of John. 

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to all who cared for John so lovingly during his short illness, in particular Mary Healy and the nursing team from Blackrock Hospice, Public Health Nurse Angela Walsh and our friend Pat Tyrell Daffodil Nurse from Irish Cancer Society.   

A dedicated Mass in memory of John will be held at 10:15am on Sunday, 28th November, in St Joseph’s Church, Glasthule, Co Dublin.  John’s months mind Mass will also be celebrated at 11:30 on the same day in St Brigid’s Church, St Patrick’s Road, Limerick.  All Welcome.
