As we remember our beloved father, John, on this First Anniversary of his passing, we his daughters Denise and Julie, would like to express our heartfelt gratitude.
First, we would like to thank John's adoring grandchildren, sons-in-law, brothers, sister, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces and extended family for their help with Dad’s care in the lead-up to his untimely passing. We could not have coped without your love and support. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
To our wonderful parents-in-law, neighbours, relations, extended family and friends who brought refreshments, dinners, offered childcare, helped on the farm, stopped by for chats, and visited Dad and us before, during and after his passing – thank you. Your thoughtfulness and generosity brought us great comfort.
We are also deeply grateful to everyone who helped in preparing the house, yard, and entrance for the funeral. Thank you to those who spent hours managing traffic, making tea and serving refreshments. Thank you to those who arranged flowers and sat with the house. Thank you to all who helped on the farm - your help was invaluable.
We are grateful to Fr. Michael and his team in St. Joseph’s Church for the beautiful Funeral Mass. Thank you to those who provided music and carried out duties at the graveyard. Thank you to Forde's Undertakers for their professionalism, and to The Five Mile Inn for the refreshments.
Thank you to all who attended Dad’s Funeral, sent Mass cards, messages and condolences. It was plain to see how well loved he was.
Thanks also to all the medical personnel who cared for Dad – the GPs and nurses at Village Medical, Walsh’s Pharmacy, Mercy and Cork University Hospitals, Marymount and the Irish Cancer Society.
It is virtually impossible to thank everyone individually, but please be assured your help did not go unnoticed. We are deeply grateful.
The Holy Sacrifice of Mass will be offered for your intentions.
