John’s children Mary, Andrew, Valerie & Claire, his brother Pat, sisters Kay & Ann & all his family wish to express our most sincere thanks for the many ways we were comforted & supported throughout John’s funeral & during the time since.
Thank you to everyone who visited our home, attended John’s removal, funeral Mass & burial, sent Mass cards & floral tributes, letters & texts, those who phoned or shared kind words & happy memories online & all those who couldn’t be present but joined us in celebrating his life via webcam.
Thank you to the wonderful staff of St. Colman’s Residential Care Centre for the comfort & care they brought to John’s final years & for the solace that brought to those who loved him most. Thank you also to Dr Sheehan & the team at Rathdrum Medical Practice & to Dr. Foster & all at Harbour Road Surgery for their care over the years.
A special thank you to Fr Pádraig Ó’Cochláin & Fr David Brough for their prayers, guidance, beautiful reception service & funeral Mass & to Karla Tracey & Bridget Kenny for such wonderful music.
Thank you to our colleagues, neighbours & friends for your continued kindness & to our dear friends & neighbours from South Green for the love & respect you showed throughout John’s final farewell.
Thanks also to Eugene Wolohan & all John’s friends from the Brook House for their hospitality & for so many years of friendship, to the management & staff of the Arklow Bay Hotel, to Joe & Tom from RSS for tending to the grave & to all at John Sweeney and Sons Funeral Directors.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
John’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 16th June at 11.30am in Saints Mary & Peter’s Church. Those who cannot attend are welcome to join via webcam; https://www.arklowparish.ie/webcam/
