Acknowledgement and First Anniversary

The family of the late Pat and Berna Allen, Carrigaline, Co. Cork wish to acknowledge and thank everyone for the expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us following our sad loss.  Our heartfelt thanks to the many relatives, friends, neighbours and colleagues who visited us, attended the reposing and funeral, and who provided practical support to us. To those who called and sent messages, letters, flowers, online condolences and charitable donations, we are truly grateful.  We have been overwhelmed by the support from our local community, which Pat and Berna were so proud to be part of.   

Special thanks to the emergency services and all those who assisted at the scene; to Fr. Keohane, Fr. Pat and Fr. Sean for their pastoral care; to those that assisted with the mass and funeral; to Raffeen Creek Golf Club for their guard of honour; and to Forde’s Funeral Directors for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements.

Pat and Berna are deeply missed.  They will always be remembered with fondness and love.  Thank you all for the memories you made with them and the stories you shared. Please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our deepest gratitude.  The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

First Anniversary Mass will take place on Sunday 27th August 2023 at 11:15 am in The Church of Our Lady and St. John, Carrigaline.
