Joe’s sons John & Richard & their families wish to extend sincere thanks for the many expressions of sympathy & support that they received throughout Joe’s funeral & during the weeks since.
Thank you to everyone who visited the funeral home, attended Joe’s removal, funeral Mass & burial, sent Mass cards & flowers & to all those who phoned, wrote or shared beautiful messages & happy memories online. Thank you also to those who travelled long distances to be with us & to those who joined us via live-stream.
Heartfelt thanks to staff of Wicklow Hospice, the Palliative Care Team & the nurses from Arklow Health Centre, most especially Marjorie, all of whom provided much needed kindness & care throughout Grandad’s final months.
Special thanks to Fr David Brough for his comforting prayers & beautiful funeral Mass, to Fr. Terence McGovern for his committal service, to Karla Tracey & Rosarie Kinsella for such fabulous music & to Joe’s dear friend, Jimmy Tyrrell, for his wonderful oration – Joe would have been honoured.
Thanks also to family & friends who prepared Joe’s grave, to Jim & Pat Hoey & their staff at The Bridge Hotel for their hospitality & to all at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Joe’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 12th December at 11.30am in St.’s Mary & Peter’s Church & those who cannot attend are welcome to join via the Arklow Parish Webcam www.arklowparish.ie/webcam/
