Joseph (Joe) O'Sullivan

 Joseph (Joe) O'Sullivan

Newry, Down / Bray, Wicklow

I, Joe’s wife Ann and family, would like to thank all those who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement.  Thank you to all those who called to the house, sent cards, letters, messages of sympathy and attended the funeral.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the extended Glackin and O’Sullivan families for their support and help at such a difficult time.  Thank you to our Liska community for being so caring to Joe and myself during his illness.  A special thank you to Brian Curran who visited Joe every night either at home or in hospital and to Joe’s friend group for their support to him.

I wish to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the high dependency unit in Daisy Hill Hospital for their professional care during Joe’s long and hard fought illness.  Special thanks to the District Nurse Anna Graham and her staff, the Respiratory Team and Enable Care who were so kind in caring for Joe at home.

Thank you to Fr. Liam Mc Kinney for his care and support to Joe both in hospital and at home and for celebrating the Requiem Mass.  I wish to thank my niece Karen Kirby and her accompanist for the beautiful singing and music at the Mass.

Thank you to Mc Gennity Funeral Directors for their professional care and support in taking care of the funeral arrangements.  Thanks to The Flagstaff Lodge for the lovely food after the funeral.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our deep appreciation.

Joe’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated at 6.15pm on Saturday, 1st June, in The Church of the Assumption, Drumalane, 6 Dublin Road, Newry BT35 8DA.

May he rest in peace.
