We, Josie's sons and daughters; Edel, Tomás, Colm, Patricia, Assumpta and Gerard, together with her sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren, along with extended family, would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the kindness and sympathy shown to us on our devastating loss of Josie RIP.
We would like to thank our very dear and valued relatives, friends and neighbours for their ongoing support and friendship during this difficult time. Thank you to those who called to visit, attended the wake, removal, Requiem Mass and burial, telephoned, prayed, catered, sent mass-cards, messages, flowers, and posted messages on the Book of Condolence.
Josie's funeral mass was very special to us led by her her PP and old neighbour, Very Rev. Fr. James Purcell PP with a personal homily and beautiful singing, and concelebrated by Very Rev. Canon Thomas Breen PP, who married her and Tommy, and Rev. Fr. Celsus Tierney PP, PP of her home parish of Holycross-Ballycahill. We also thank Rev. Fr. George George Ranahan for leading the Rosary at Reposal, and Rev. Fr. Deo Mayanja of TUH.
Thank you to the talented Thurles Folk Group led by Ann Commins and Ann Marie Dwan for beautifully adding to the Mass. Thank you to everyone else that participated the Mass and burial.
We thank Hugh Ryan Directors; David, Donal & Hugh for their dignified and professional handling of Josie's Reposing and Funeral.
We thank all neighbours, friends and loyal customers who lined Parnell Street and Liberty Square as Josie passed her beloved home and shop for the last time on her way to the Cathedral. Thank you to all of the health care professionals that were kind to Josie and whom looked after so well over the past two years and who were so caring and respectful.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
Go Raibh Míle Maith Agaibh Go Léir.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
