FIRST ANNIVERSARY & ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
In cherished memory of our dear Mam, Josie (Leahy) Lehane whose first anniversary occurs on January 4th, 2021.
Josie’s family would like to thank Dr. O’Connor and the staff of the Mercy Hospital, the Ambulance crews, Dr. Hugh Doran, Fr. Winkel, Jerry & all at Wallis’ Funeral Home Midleton, Island Crematorium, her great neighbours and friends, her carers Bernie and Paula and also Carrigtwohill Community Council for the use of the room and for the refreshments after the funeral.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for all the messages of support and sympathy, your comforting presence at the rosary, removal and funeral, the fond reminiscences, all the cards, flowers, phone calls and texts . Your friendship, for which we will be forever grateful, helped us all through the most difficult times.
Deeply loved and sadly missed by her sons and daughters-in-law, Owen & Monica, Steven & Niamh, Frank & Claire, Jamie & Jennifer; grandchildren Kate, Kyran, Kia, Megan, Edan and Kelly, her brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and friends.
We will always take great solace and strength from the way Mam faced into her struggle. She fought a brave fight with grace and even humour, giving us many more memories than we hoped, with each new day a precious gift we carry with us. Mam lives on in all the stories we still hear from her friends and family. As much as we miss her, those memories are quick to bring a smile and a reminder of the love she had for us all.
A special mention also for her brother Jer who passed away during the year.
