Karen’s son Joshua, her sister Kathleen and brothers John Eddie and Brendan and extended family, would like to express their sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with them on their recent sad bereavement. To everyone who called to Karens home, attended her reposal or came to the funeral, your presence was greatly appreciated. To the staff of Cavan General Hospital, Saint Joseph’s Lisdarn, Beaumont Hospital Dublin, and Karens home carers, a sincere thank you to everyone for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Karen during her illness. Special thanks to the oncology service in Cavan, especially Dr Wilhelm and his team for their wonderful care. To Cuan cancer support Cavan, who helped so much in making life a little easier. To the priests who attended Karen at home and in hospital and for their attendance at her funeral, Fr. Jason Murphy, Fr. Gabriel Kelly, Fr. Sean McDermott, Fr. Peter Casey, Mons. To Declan Finnegan and his family for their great kindness and friendship to Karen, and the dignified manner in which Declan and team carried out all of Karen‘s wishes with great care and compassion. Karen’s months memory mass is on the 11th of January 2025 in Saint Michael's Church Potahee at 11 am with interment of her ashes afterwards in Ballinagh new Cemetery. Holy mass will be offered for all as a token of our deepest appreciation.
