Shaun, Tiarnán, the McGuire and Walsh families wish to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to all who sympathised and supported us during the recent sad loss of Karen. We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends and great neighbours who supported us during this very difficult time. Thanks to all those who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, floral tributes, telephone calls, those who posted kind tributes online and those who made donations to Pieta House in Karen’s memory.
We will forever be indebted to all who helped in the search, to Foyle Search and Rescue, the Irish Coastguard, Lough Swilly RNLI, An Garda Síochána, family and friends and members of the public.
Sincere thanks to all our dear friends and kind neighbours who lined the route from Raphoe to St. Eunan’s Cathedral, those who provided Guards of Honour and also those present at the graveside to pay their respects to Karen on her final journey. It was indeed a great comfort to us.
Many thanks to An Garda Síochána and family friends for providing traffic management.
Thanks to Fr. Eamonn Kelly for his attendance at the removal and for leading us in the Rosary throughout Karen’s wake. A special word of thanks to Msgr. Kevin Gillespie for his comforting words during his visits to our homes and for the lovely Funeral Mass. The beautiful homily and prayers were a fitting tribute to a wonderful lady. Thank you also to those who joined the Funeral Mass online.
Thank you to all those who participated in the Funeral Mass and to Catriona Haughey for her beautiful singing. Thank you to Kelly’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism and all the help they offered us during the wake and funeral. And to the gravediggers who prepared Karen’s final resting place at Conwal Cemetery, thank you.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation and thanks. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Karen’s Month's Mind Mass will take place on Tuesday, 2nd March 2021 at 10am in St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny and can be viewed online at https://www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny
