Kathy’s husband Michael, sons Joseph and Michael, daughter Mary, brother-in-law Bernie and the extended Boyle and McCormack family would like to sincerely thank all those who contributed to Kathy’s years of support and loving care. The decades of friendship, selfless care, advice, empathy, compassion, and support Kathy showed to so many was returned in abundance to both her and her family during her illness and final days.

A sincere thank you to all who made donations, sent floral arrangements, telephoned, sent mass and sympathy cards, letters, and messages of condolence. Your words and individual stories of Kathy gave us comfort, joy and laughter.

Despite the Covid restrictions we were overwhelmed by the love, support and generosity shown by relatives, neighbours, and friends. We wish to sincerely thank all those who called to the house, gathered outside our home, stood along the funeral route, attended the requiem Mass both inside and out, and attend the burial. We were deeply touched and overwhelmed by the comfort, warmth, and support this gave us. THANK YOU!

We would like to sincerely thank Fr. Iomar Daniels for his visits on the first Friday of every month and celebrating a beautiful requiem Mass and burial.

A sincere thanks to Nancy Casserly who provided the beautiful piano playing, and members of the parish choir who sang so beautifully during the requiem Mass. Also, thank you all those who prepared the church and arranged the flowers.

Our sincere appreciation and gratitude to all the nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, speech therapists and carers who looked after Kathy throughout her illness, in particular Dr. Michael Hennessy (Neurologist UHG), Patrick Browne, Dr. Cathal Nugent and all the staff at Main Street Clinic, Loughrea, Mary Murry (PHN), Colm (physiotherapist) and Emer (speech therapist). We will be forever grateful for you unwavering, care, advice, guidance, support, and kindness.

We are eternally indebted to Family Carers Ireland who provided Kathy with wonderful home carers. The love, care, tenderness, laughter, and friendship each carer bestowed on Kathy will never be forgotten by her family. Thank you Rosaleen, Ena, Karen, Laura, and all the wonderful staff and carers.

We are forever grateful and thankful to all the staff in Brogan’s Pharmacy, Loughrea. The never faltering care and concern for Kathy’s wellbeing always provided comfort. Thank you, Rita, Marie and Caitriona, for always asking “How’s Mom?”

Our sincere appreciation and gratitude to Sean Cleary and Shane Counihan in Kilboy’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism and support throughout this sad time. To our wonderful neighbours and friends who prepared Kathy’s final resting place so perfectly, our heartfelt gratitude to all of you.

A sincere and heartfelt thanks to Alan Foudy who live streamed Kathy’s requiem Mass and burial. This invaluable service brought comfort to many of Kathy’s family and friends both near and far.

Margaret Connors, Maeve Keane, Karen Boyle, Isobelle Lyons and Noreen Kileen your years of unwavering love, laughter, friendship, support, care, advice, presence, and baked goods was cherished by Kathy and will never be forgotten by her family. WE WILL BE FOREVER THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL to all of you and so many more whom it would be impossible to mention individually.

Kathy’s Months Mind Mass will take place in St Andrew’s Church, Leitrim More, Loughrea, H62 RP40 on Saturday May 22nd at 6.30pm
