 Kathleen Kieran
(née Kindlan)

Inniskeen, Monaghan

We the family of the late Kathleen Kieran, Patrick, Yvonne, Olive, Noelle, Isabel and Edel, would like to extend our deepest and heartfelt thanks to all those who compassionately sympathised with us following our heart-breaking loss.

We would like to thank our extended family neighbours and friends from near and far who kindly visited our home during Mam’s wake. To all those who sent Mass cards and Mass enrolments, who took the time to write letters, sympathy cards, who messaged, posted condolences online, telephoned or sent floral tributes, please know we have taken great comfort from your kindness, empathy and generosity.

We are indebted to the paramedics and first responders who carried out their duties with such professionalism compassion and resilience. The care you provided Mam and the support you give us during such a heartbreaking time can only be admired. A special thank you to Deery’s Funeral Directors Carrickmacross for their time, patience and care that morning during our difficult time.

We wish to acknowledge the generosity of all those who brought food, cooked hot meals served tea and refreshments in the house. Thank you to all who helped outside with lighting, parking and to our very good neighbours who opened their gates to allow parking to everyone who called.

Our sincere thanks to everyone for attending the funeral, to people who travelled very long distances and who joined in Mam’s Funeral Mass on webcam and parish radio. A special word of thanks to Inniskeen Camogie Club, Inniskeen Ladies football Club, Inniskeen Grattans Football and Young Hurlers, Culloville Camogie Club and Broomfield ICA for their guards of honour. Thank you to our neighbours and friends who stood en route for Mam’s final journey.

A special word of thanks to Canon Martin Treanor for the personal Requiem Mass which celebrated Mam’s life, for his prayers and for visiting during the wake. Thank you to the Altar Servers, readers, gift bearers, Eucharist Ministers and Sacristan.  A special thank you to Paul Redmond for the beautiful and moving music. A big thank you to Eilish and Michael for their beautiful duet. For mam's personal reflection, our thanks to Brian Dooley and Gerard Mc Geough.

A sincere thank you to Michéal Magee and Magee’s Funeral Directors for the professionalism, dignity and gentle guidance they displayed as they quietly carried out the funeral arrangements. We are eternally grateful for the support they provided to us during this difficult and life changing time. Your unassuming presence and attention to detail was much appreciated.

Thank you to Inniskeen Social club and staff for the use of the outstanding community facility. Thanks also to Mona Mc Entees and her team for the beautiful food and professional service they provided.

A special thank you to Mam’s good friends whom she shared many good times with over the years and to her loyal hairdresser Carmel.

We hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude. We have been deeply touched by the kindness of family friends and neighbours and for the love and support you have all shown towards Mam. It would be impossible to thank everyone individually, so please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere appreciation and gratitude to everyone. The holy sacrifice Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Gone is a mother we loved so dear, gone is the voice we loved to hear, an empty space no one can fill. We miss you Mam and always will.

Our Lady of Knock Pray for her.
