Kevin Dooley

Masonbrook, Loughrea, Co Galway

Kevin passed away peacefully on Saturday 28th May 2022.

Kevin’s wife Kay, sons John and Brendan, daughters Sheelagh and Treasa, sisters Sadie and Monica, sisters-in-law Angela and Molly, grandchildren Luke, Emily, Aoife, Mia, Conor, James, Anna & Tara, sons-in-law Mark and Gerard, daughters-in law Leona and Jennifer, nieces, nephews and extended family wish to sincerely thank all who called to the house, telephoned, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, letters and sent messages of condolence online and on RIP.ie. Your kind and sincere words gave us great comfort at this difficult time.

Thank you to the paramedics, Dr. John Kilraine, friends and neighbours, who without thought came and gave the family support on Saturday morning and during the difficult days following Dad’s passing. Also, to the people who sent floral tributes, dropped food and refreshments to our home, thank you.

We appreciate all those who gathered outside our home and the Loughrea Hurling Club who stood along the funeral route to pay respect as Dad made his final journey and to relatives and friends who travelled long distances to attend and be with us.

We would like to sincerely thank Monsignor Cathal Geraghty for being such a good friend to Dad and the family and to everyone who celebrated Dad’s life in a most beautiful Requiem Mass.

Thanks to the Cathedral choir who provided beautiful music and singing during Dad’s funeral Mass.

To our wonderful neighbours and friends who lovingly prepared Dad’s final resting place so sensitively perfect, our heartfelt gratitude always.

To the Meadow Court Hotel for the lovely meal provided after the funeral.

Our sincere appreciation and gratitude to Sean Cleary and all the staff in Kilboy’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism, support and guidance throughout this difficult and sad time.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. In gratitude a Mass of Thanksgiving will be offered for your intentions.

Dad, you left us with beautiful memories,

Your love is still our guide,

Although we cannot see you, you are always by our side,

A special place within our hearts will always be kept for you.

Kevin’s Month's Mind Mass will take place in St. Brendan’s Cathedral, Loughrea Friday, 8th, July at 8pm.
