 Kitty Hand
(née Keenan)

St. Macartan's Villas, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

Kitty’s family, Gerard (Gerry), Irene and Kieran (Sammy) and extended families would like to express our heartfelt thanks for all the support, kindness and sympathy on the loss of our much loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

In remembering her, with both sadness and joy for a long life lived to the full, we would like to sincerely thank all those in health care who looked after her so well during her recent illness. In particular, we would like to acknowledge the care and attention given by the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and by her carers Patricia, Lorraine and Daniela and Mam’s doctor, Shona Mc Carthy.

Sincere gratitude to Monsignor Shane Mc Caughey, St Joseph’s, Carrickmacross for celebrating the funeral mass and the joyous eulogy which celebrated our Mam’s life. Thanks also to sacristans, Martin and Breda, eucharist ministers and those who prepared Mam’s final resting place with great care and attention. Special thanks to Tom Clarke and the choir for the beautiful music.

To the Guards of Honour provided by the leaders of the 3rd Monaghan Scout Group and Carrickmacross Tidy Town Committee our heartfelt thanks. Thanks also to her friends in the Social Services Committee for their support. Our thanks also to all the neighbours at St Macartans Villas for their ongoing care and attention and latterly those at Dunoge who looked after us during Mam’s reposing with the family. We are truly grateful to everyone who turned out at Mam’s wake and funeral especially those who travelled a distance to be with us.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Catriona, Padraig and Seamus of Lonergan’s Funeral Directors for looking after all the funeral arrangements and more in a most professional and carlng way.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually for all your support during those sad days please accept this as an expression of our deepest appreciation and gratitude The holy sacrifice of the mass will be offered for your intentions.

Months Mind Mass for Kitty will be held in St Joseph’s church, Carrickmacross on Saturday 22nd April at 6pm. Everyone welcome
