Acknowledgement and First Anniversary
Helen and the family of the late Larry Kelly would like to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who sympathised with us and supported us through our very sad and immense loss.
The kindness of the wider family circle, friends, neighbours and community was very much appreciated. Thanks to everyone who called to the house, who brought and helped out with food. To all who attended the removal, funeral, burial or who joined us on the webcam and to all who telephoned, sent letters, Mass/sympathy cards, wrote messages of condolences – please know that we were most grateful for your kind words and prayers, which brought us much comfort.
We extend our sincere thanks Fr. Jim Egan for celebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass and for such a fitting, personal homily. Also our thanks to Fr. Tadhg Furlong for his compassion and guidance in the preparation of the Funeral Mass and to Fr. John Morris and Fr. Browne, lifelong friends, who concelebrated Mass.
The liturgy was enhanced with the lovely music and singing provided by Carol O'Donovan and Pat Marnane and also by all those who contributed to the ceremony through readings and prayers. Gratitude to the sacristan and dear friend, Dick Ryan, for the preparation of the Church. It was lovely and of great consolation to the family to see players and members of Cappawhite G.A.A. and Ballykisteen Golf Club form such dignified Guards of Honour on the evening of the removal to the Church and also to the graveyard for the burial, the following day. Thanks also to Ballykisteen Hotel & Club for providing refreshments after the burial and after the Month’s Memory Mass.
We wish to thank Michael and Noreen White, White's Funeral Directors, for the support they gave to the family and for the professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. Thank you for bringing Da home and for taking him on his final journey with dignity and kindness to us all. Thanks also to Johnny Barry who prepared Da’s final resting place with such consideration.
We are deeply grateful to those who provided wonderful care to Da throughout his illness; home carers, Cappawhite Medical Centre, McGrath’s Pharmacy, the public health nurses and the dialysis taxi drivers. Words cannot express the depth of our gratitude for the following committed, dedicated specialists and their excellent caring teams - Consultant Liam Casserly and staff, Dialysis Centre / Ward C and Consultant Ruth Clifford and staff, Oncology Unit of University Hospital, Limerick.
It has been so uplifting since, to listen to and hear stories, tributes and memories from family members and from various farming, hurling, greyhound and golfing friends. We will be forever grateful to you for sharing them with us.
As it is impossible to thank each person individually, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our gratitude and appreciation to everyone who helped our family during this past year.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Larry’s First Anniversary Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, 4th June, at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cappawhite.
