Liam's sons, Billy, Gerard, John, James and daughter Maria, sister Breda (Manchester), daughters in law, son in law, grandkids, great-grandkids and extended family, would like to thank all those who sympathised with us on the loss of our father.
To all that sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, floral tributes, added condolences on RIP.ie and attended the funeral.
To Portarlington Lourdes Committee for their guard of honour at the church, he would have been so proud.
To our neighbours and friends in St Brigid's Square who turned out on dad's final visit to his home, it was so emotional, we thank you.
To the management and staff of Oakdale Nursing Home who kindly looked after him so well in his time spent there, we are very grateful, thank you.
To Dr Sean Montegue, Dr Andrew Lavin and all the staff at Kilnacourt surgery, thanks for all your care to dad over the years. A special thanks to Fiona Murphy, William Loughran and all the carers who took care of dad while he was at home. Thanks to all the staff at Mullaney's chemist for your help with dad's medication over the years. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and all the staff in The Midland Hospital, Portlaoise, for your attention, care and kindness to dad over the few days and to us as a family.
To Father Thomas Dooley for a lovely Mass and our cousin Kevin Doyle who sang so beautifully. Thanks to Thomas Murphy for his playing of the bagpipes at the cemetery.
To Marcus McLoughlin, Management and staff of SuperValu, who kindly provided us with food over the few days, it was greatly appreciated.
Finally, we would like to thank the grave diggers and John Maher funeral director for their professionalism kindness and respectful handling of dad's funeral.
As it's impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our thanks to everyone. The holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Mass for Dads Month's Mind will be celebrated at 6.15pm on Saturday the 19th in St Michael's Church, Portarlngton.
