Abbeyfalls, Kilcrea, Ovens, Cork

The family of the late Liam Miller, Abbeyfalls, Kilcrea, Ovens Co. Cork, who was taken from us on 9 February, 2018 wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness we have received following our devastating loss.

We offer our heartfelt gratitude to Liam's many friends, former team mates at home and abroad and the dignitaries who travelled to Ovens to pay their respects to Liam.  Thank you to those who made the journey from Rockchapel, the home of Liam's grandparents.

Special thanks are also due to those who sent messages of condolence, mass cards and floral tributes.

We are especially grateful for the support of our wonderful neighbours in Ovens. Your kindness and generosity both before and after Liam's passing will never be forgotten.

Sincere thanks to Fr. Liam Hickey for his many visits to Liam as well as all others who contributed to Liam's removal and Funeral Mass including  Bishop Buckley, Fr. Stritch, Fr O'Mahony, Fr. O’Reilly, Breda O'Leary, Michael Crowley and the members of an Garda Sίochánca in Cork.

We are particularly thankful to the members of Ballincollig FC who paid such a touching tribute to Liam on the evening of his removal. Deepest good wishes also to the many members and supporters of Liam's former clubs - Éire Óg, Cork City, Celtic FC and Manchester United among others, as well as those within the FAI  - who paid such moving tributes to Liam following his passing.

We are enormously grateful to the Mercy Hospital and Marymount Hospice for the dignity, care and privacy they afforded our Liam.

Liam's Anniversary Mass will take place on Saturday 9th February in St. John the Baptist Church, Ovens, Cork at 19.30.
