Lilian Porter

 Lilian Porter
(née Fortune)

Arklow, Wicklow

Lilian’s partner Charlie, daughter Emma, son-in-law Adam, sister Pat & all her family wish to express their sincere thanks for the many expressions of condolence shown to them throughout Lilian’s sad passing & during the time since.

Thank you to everyone who visited the funeral home, attended Lilian's removal, funeral Mass & burial, sent Mass cards, letters & texts, those who shared happy memories & warm messages online, those who travelled long distances to offer comfort & support & those who couldn’t be present but joined us in the celebration of Lilian’s life via webcam. Thanks also to those who donated generously to Wicklow Hospice in Lilian’s memory; https://olh.ie/donate/

Our most sincere thanks to the fantastic caring staff of the Bon Secours Hospital for the comfort & dignity they brought to Lilian’s final weeks & the wonderful nurses who assisted Lilian throughout her journey. Thank you also to Dr Tony Bentley & his team at Bradshaw’s Lane Surgery & to the staff of First Choice Pharmacy.

Thank you to extended family, colleagues, neighbours & friends for their continued kindness & support & to Lilian’s many friends from Woodenbridge Golf Club.

Special thanks to Fr. Michael Murphy for his prayers, comforting guidance & beautiful funeral Mass, to the sacristy team at St. Joseph’s Church, Templerainey & to Avril O’Toole & Bridget Kenny for such fabulous music.

Thanks also to Victoria Mulhall & the management & staff of Woodenbridge Golf Club for their hospitality, to Joe & Tom from R.S.S. for tending to the grave & to all at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

Lilian’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 23rd March at 7pm in St. Joseph’s Church, Templerainey. Those who cannot attend are welcome to join via webcam;
