The family of the late Maighread Kearns (née Beecher) of Carrigmahon, Monkstown, Co. Cork, who passed away on November 3rd 2020, wishes to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us following our great loss. Even though, due to covid restrictions, people could not attend Maighread’s funeral Mass in person, we were heartened and supported by the many messages and support we received.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. For those who telephoned, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, we are truly grateful.

A special word of thanks to Fr. Sean, Fr. Con (RIP), and all the doctors, nurses, and carers, particularly Dr. Micheál Shannon and Mary McCarthy who were so good to Maighread in the last months of her life.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

The First Anniversary Mass for Maighread will be held on 31st October at 11:30am in the Sacred Heart Church, Monkstown, Co. Cork. All Welcome.
