SCOTT-Malachy John  - On Mal’s First Anniversary, January 3rd 2026, his children, Rory, Phelim and Megan, wife Siobhan (Gaynor), parents, Malachy and Norrie,  brothers, Gavin (& Brid Quinn), Paul (& Liz Dempsey) and sister  Fiona (& Pierce Flynn) and all their families would like to thank all those who supported us, in particular, beloved relatives and friends who travelled long distances to be with us after Mal’s sudden death.

Sincere thanks to the first responders at his home and all involved at James Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown; their thoroughness and kindness did not go unnoticed.  Thank you to all who attended his repose, funeral Mass, and cremation service, or sent condolences, Mass cards, and letters of sympathy, or left messages on RIP.ie.  Thanks also to Cunnighams’ Funeral Home. Special thanks to Fr Damien McNeice, who led his funeral mass and cremation, the staff at Castleknock Community College for their ongoing support and kindness and his neighbours who assisted us at his repose.

As it is not possible to contact everybody individually, please accept this notice as an expression of our gratitude and appreciation. Mal was much loved, and his kindness, sense of humour, love of family, hard work and creativity will live on in his home and all of us.
