The family of the late Mamie Long of Barnes Road, Ballybofey, who died on 11th February 2021, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their great loss.

Our deepest thanks and gratitude to our good neighbours and friends, who provided food and helped in any way. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. To those who were unable to attend the funeral Mass in these difficult times, but paid a moving socially distant tribute outside Mamie's home, along the route of her cortege to the church and in the vicinity of the graveyard, all saying goodbye in their own way. Your presence was very comforting. Equally, to those who couldn’t be present but sent beautiful cards, letters & those who wrote touching messages & shared happy memories online & to all those who joined in the celebration of Mamie's life via livestream, your love & support was felt & brought us much comfort.Our thanks to Mc Cools funeral directors who provided a very professional service.

A special word of thanks to Majella, Leanne and all the wonderful caring staff of Archview Lodge Nursing Home for all the loving care they gave Mamie during her time there. Our thanks to Fr Brendan Ward who prayed with Mamie on many occasions in Archview.

Our sincere thanks to Fr. Kieran for his final prayers on the morning of Mamie's removal to Stranorlar and for his guidance and helpful communication with us, ensuring that Mamie's funeral Mass was as she would have wanted. Thank you sincerely for the beautiful Mass in celebration of her life and prayers at her final resting place.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

The Month's Mind Mass for Mamie will be held on 16th March 2021 in St Mary's Church, Stranorlar, at 7.30pm and those who wish can join via the Stranorlar parish webcam https://www.churchservices.tv/stranorlar
