MOUNT ST. JOSEPH’S DRIVE and PANORAMA TERRACE
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT and FIRST ANNIVERSARY
As we lovingly remember our beautiful MARC on the First Anniversary of his passing on the 10th May, 2024: Alma (Marc’s Mam), James, his partner, the Casey and Foley family would like to thank most sincerely The Labour Party, especially Kathleen Lynch, Labour LGBT, Rainbow Rose, Forsa, Forsa Youth, The Cork Clerical Branch, Marc’s school friends in St. Vincent’s Primary, Gael Choláiste Mhuire A.G. and U.C.C. College. Thank you to O’Connor’s Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge and the Crematorium, Ringaskiddy for their lovely service, kind words, professionalism, guidance and support to Alma, James and our family on our devastating loss of Marc. A special thank you to Declan Hayes, who went above and beyond to help us through this very sad time.
To An Garda Siochána and the ambulance service for their kindness. To my neighbours and to Mike of the Friary Bar and Fionnbarra’s for their hospitality. Our deepest gratitude to those who sent heartfelt messages, cards, flowers and touching tributes to Marc and to the vast number of people who attended the Funeral from home and abroad, which showed Marc was so loved.
To Marc’s huge circle of friends for your love and support. To Linda Tanner, Peadar Considine, John Fitzgerald, Teresa Leonard, staff and work colleagues of DSP Intreo in Cork and Dublin. To my amazing friend Sandra Schulz and wonderful neighbour Christine. To President Michael D. Higgins for your beautiful personal letter, your kind words were so comforting.
A special thank you to my wonderful family for always being there and and being a constant support, I love you dearly. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as an indication of our appreciation.
Think of Marc as living in the hearts of those he touched,
For nothing loved is ever lost,
And he was loved so much.
Your memory is a gift to treasure,
You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
(Loved always by Nan Casey, aunts, uncles and cousins)
To Marc .....
You’re a gentleman, well mannered,
Always fair and calm and kind,
Always interesting and thoughtful,
When you chose to speak your mind. You should be proud of who you are,
And everything you’ve done,
You’re a credit, it’s an honour to be able to call you Son.
To the world you are one,
To me - you are the world.
(With love as always - Mam x)
