The family of the late Maggie Donnelly of Ballyboughal Square, who died on January 26th 2023, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their great loss.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the wake, service and burial and who provided emotional support for us at this difficult time. We would like to acknowledge our relevant employers, especially Fingal County Council and Beechtree Nursing Home, who showed us great compassion throughout the time in which Maggie was ill in hospital. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences and dropped in food parcels of soup and sandwiches, we are truly grateful.
A special word of thanks to the staff of the Laurel Ward in Connolly Hospital who cared for Maggie so wonderfully in her final weeks. To those who participated in Maggie's funeral Mass, Fr Derek Farrell, church singers Jennifer Nugent (Naul) and Ronnie Delaney (Ballyboughal), floral arrangements by Tracey Walsh at Fingal Flowers (Lispopple), Eugene and Glenn Tormey of Oldtown House and of course McNally Funeral Directors (Balbriggan) for their professional and caring handling of the arrangements.
We must also give a special mention of gratitude to Ballyboughal GFC and its club members and the St Peter's u16 boys team, for the outstanding Guard of Honour that they provided for Maggie on the day.
To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
