MARGARET MURPHY

 MARGARET MURPHY
(née ESSON)

Bere Island, Cork / Turners Cross, Cork

As we lovingly remember our mother Margaret on her first anniversary on January 26th , we her children, Dave, Barry, Maura, Frances, Tony & Joanna along with her sister Eileen & brother Frank, would like to express our sincere thanks to all who supported Mum in life and in death.

We owe a debt of gratitude to the many Carers, Nurses, Doctors, Pharmacists, and all of the HSE community supports, that Mum availed of over many years in Beara, Mayfield and Turners Cross. We would like to give special mention to Mum's GP Dr Nick O Keeffe of Knights Hill Medical Centre, Mayfield and Dr Pat Barry CUH who cared exceptionally for Mum over many years and contributed massively to her longevity. Sincere thanks to the prompt Ambulance crew who attended Mum, gently and professionally. During her final days, Mum received the utmost care and compassion at RESUS unit, GEMS & MSSU units of CUH under the care of Dr Siún o Flynn and all of her team. This will never be forgotten.

Some of the team who made a special impact on us during that time were, Nurses, Louise, Jane, Jack, Anne, Maureen, Dr Ciara Mcglade, Dr Cathal Clifford, Dr Mary Kennedy, Fr Kieran o Driscoll and Tracy Sorenson.

Thanks to Paul Harrington and Donal Forde undertakers for making the whole process bearable with your professionalism.

Thank you to all our friends and neighbours in Cork and Beara for your support, and all who attended the Reposing, Removal and Funeral, and to Beara INTO for the touching Guard of Honour. Thanks to all those who contacted us with messages of support and condolence in person and on the phone. Thanks to all who sent mass cards and wrote letters and all who left lovely tributes online.

Thanks to our Harrington neighbours for travelling alongside Mum on her final journey home on the ferry, it meant a lot to us. Thanks to Mossie o Donoghue for the hearse.  Thank you to Edel for saying the rosary , to Fr Noel for your support and Fr Martin for your beautiful and personal funeral mass and also the wonderful choir.  Our thanks to the Gravedigger's, to Bere Island Ferry services and to Mary & Maria at The Hotel for accommodating everyone.

As it is impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere gratitude. The Holy sacrifice of Mass has been offered for your intentions. Margaret's first anniversary mass will be at St Michaels Church, Bere Island at 10am Sunday 29th January and broadcast live online on Bere Island Community Radio. http://www.bereisland.net/radio/

Mum you are loved beyond measure and remembered every day.
