As Mammy’s (Marie’s) daughters Kathleen & Denise and son John, grandchildren Joe, Courtney, Stacey, Luke, Aoife, Marie, Joseph, David and our families, we wish to extend our sincere heartfelt thanks for the most kindest expressions of condolence conferred to us on the loss of our beautiful beloved Mammy.   And to everyone who visited our home, attended Mammy’s funeral Mass and burial, sent mass cards, texts and shared such warm wishes and so many happy memories with us.  And to all those who couldn’t be present but joined us via the webcam.

To our wonderful amazing family and friends for the exceptional unwavering support we received from the moment we received Mammy’s devastating diagnosis, through the following extremely difficult two months, over the funeral period and still to-date.  No words could convey how much this has meant to us, we will be forever grateful.

We would like to also give a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, palliative care team and all the staff in St. Vincent’s Hospital, particularly Dr Suzanne Carter and Seamus, who treated Mammy with such dignity, kindness and compassion.  Also, especially Deirdre Breslin who hugely supported us during our Mammy’s last hours of need.

Our sincere thanks to Fr. David Brough for celebrating such a beautiful funeral Mass, Michael Flood and Patricia Kavanagh for the beautiful music and Bill and Joe for tending the grave.

A huge thank you to Helena and the staff of Hudson Funeral Directors for their professionalism, understanding and support at the time of our immense loss.  But most importantly to Helena for keeping her promise to us and ours to our Mammy that she would go out of this world as beautiful as she lived her life and for that we will be forever grateful.

Also, thank you to Sinead Byrne, Management & Staff of the Arklow Bay Hotel for the lovely food and Blueprint for doing such an amazing job on the printing of the mass booklet.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere gratitude.

Finally, they say there is a reason, they say that time will heal, but neither time nor reason, will change the way we feel.   For no-one knows the heartache, that lies behind our smiles.   No-one knows how many times, we have broken down and cried.   We want to tell you something, that is without a doubt, our Mammy’s so wonderful to think of, but so hard to be without.   It broke our hearts to lose her, but she didn’t go alone, for part of us went with her, the day God took her home.  Our huge loss is definitely heaven’s gain.

Our Mammy’s (Marie’s) Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 1st July, at 6.30p.m. in The Church of Saints Mary and Peter, Arklow, we will also be celebrating our wonderful beloved Daddy’s (Joe) 32nd Anniversary (7th July) at this time.

For those who cannot attend, you are very welcome to join via Arklow Parish Webcam (www.arklowparish.ie/webcam).
