Passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday the 19th of February 2021, surrounded by his parents Brendan and Martina, and his sister Lisa.
We, Mark's parents, Sister, Godparents Dympna Ward and Michael Hughes, Aunt Marie Kettle, Uncle Francie Ward and cousins would like to thank all who supported and sympathised with us in our recent sad loss. A special word of thanks to all who sent messages, cards, letters, telephone calls and who posted condolence messages online. Thank you to all who made donations to St. Johns Ward Crumlin Childrens hospital, our chosen charity via the family or undertaker.
We are indebted to the Doctors, Nurses and support staff in Pediatric Unit Cavan General Hospital and Crumlin Childrens hospital who cared so lovingly for Mark during his illness. On a local level we thank Dr. Marian Smyth and staff, The Child Development team, Palliative Care Support, Communicare and Westcare who so respectfully assisted and supported Mark and us during his illness.
To our families, friends and especially our loyal neighbours (North and South) who were with us every step of the way, we are eternally grateful. Thank you to all who brought gifts and food, and to the ladies who catered for everyone during Marks wake.
A sincere thank you to the undertakers at E.C Hughes and Martin Mc Ardle for their respect and professionalism throughout. To the gravediggers, the coffin bearers and the St Patricks choir, We are greatly appreciative of your time and contribution. We say a special thank you to Canon Paddy Mc Ginn for visiting Mark and for the memorable funeral mass and burial. words can not express our heartfelt thanks for your kindness at this time.
To Garron N.S Beech Hill College, St Louis Convent, St Aidans Comprehensive School and Tyholland GFC for the Guards of Honour, Mark would have been so proud and we appreciate the effort made during these difficult times.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our families gratitude appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
