We, Martin's family, wish to most sincerely thank all who sympathised in every way, paid tribute to Martin, supported and helped us during our heartbreaking loss.
Our deep appreciation goes out to our family, neighbours and friends who brought food and flowers to our home and helped us in every way, both in and around our home.
Heartfelt thanks to all of Martin's outstanding friends for their support, and help with organisation both at our home and during the funeral arrangements.
To Martin's friends for the beautiful music vigil, which gave us all strength and a moment of light we thank you.
To those who attended the wake, sat-up during the night with Martin, lined the route of his last journey and the many guards of honour, we would like to express our sincere gratitude.
A special thank you to his extended family and friends who carried Martin on their shoulders and sang him to his final resting place.
To Murty's Music Family who helped us give Martin the send off he deserved from outside his home at Cluain Aras, on the long procession through his home town to the church, during his funeral Mass and finally at the graveyard, you all did him proud and brought us all great comfort and strength on the hardest journey of our lives. That wonderful tribute will never be forgotten.
Thank you for all the beautiful and thoughtful flowers for Martin's grave, they have helped us in these difficult days and are a beautiful reminder of how much Martin meant to so many people.
To those who helped and offered to drive our family at times when we could not, we appreciate it greatly.
We would like to express our heartfelt thank you to Lonergan's Funeral Directors for their unwavering professionalism, kindness and sensitive guidance, support and attention to detail, without which we would have been lost.
Father Shane, your calm presence and understanding for our family and Martin's life will not be forgotten. The time you took to hear us and your beautiful Eulogy will always stay with us.
Thank you to the Garda Siochana for traffic management during the funeral procession, where so many joined us on our final journey with Martin.
Our gratitude goes out to the doctors and nurses at Beaumont Hospital and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for caring for Martin and to Dr. Breen of Carrickmacross.
It would be impossible to thank everyone individually, but please know the overwhelming kindness and support shown to us will never be forgotten and we are deeply grateful to all.
We thank you for the stories, memories and music shared by all which help us to keep Martin's memory in our hearts.
It is abundantly clear how much Martin meant to so many people and what a special person he was, we were all so lucky to have him in our lives.
May Martin's gentle soul Rest in Peace
