The family of the late Martina Mooney (nee Smith) Clogherhead, who passed away peacefully on 15th May 2022 would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with us on our sad loss.

Our sincere thanks to Dr. Fernado and the staff in Dunleer Medical Centre, Professor Hennessy and Liz Summersby and the Oncology team in OLOL hospital, the staff in Beaumont Hospital and Declan and the staff in Corrs Pharmacy Clogherhead.

Many thanks to Leonie and Tina for the wonderful care they gave to Martina in her last weeks at home and also to the community nurse Sheila and the amazing palliative team for the wonderful care and support they gave to Martina and the family during her illness.

We would like to express our thanks to Townleys Funeral directors for the professionalism and care they provided.

Thank you to Fr. Mc Veigh for a lovely mass and to Mandy, Martina’s friend for the beautiful music during the mass.

We were overwhelmed by all the people from the village of Clogherhead and surrounding areas who came and showed their respect and support and helped us at this difficult time. We greatly appreciate the phone calls, messages, mass cards, letters, flowers and condolences on rip.ie.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our heartfelt appreciation.

Martina will be deeply and sadly missed and will be remembered always.

Martina’s months mind mass will be held on Sunday, 12th June 2022, at 11.30am in St Michael's Church, Clogherhead with interment of her ashes in St Denis' Cemetery at 1.15pm.
