Mary Beirne Pembroke Road, Donnybrook, Dublin / Strokestown, Roscommon (Died August 23, 2023)
On this the First Anniversary of Mary's passing her sisters, Emily and Jude, brother Tom and his wife Mary, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, sisters-in-law, and cousins wish to thank most sincerely all the friends, neighbours and Mary's colleagues who sympathised with us on our sad loss and supported us in many ways at the time.
A very special word of thanks to Fr Shay Casey for the beautiful celebration of Mary’s life during her Funeral Mass and Burial. Thank you to Fr Declan Shannon who con celebrated the mass, Very Rev Eamonn O'Connor and Fr Ciaran Whitney for their consoling words. To Corrine and Fintan who provided the most perfect music at the mass, we are so very grateful.
We extend our thanks to the staff at Mullingar Hospital who cared for Mary with compassion and kindness, and also to the staff at Laurel Lodge.
Special thanks to Pat McHugh Funeral Directors who took care of Mary's Removal and Burial in a most dignified and sympathetic way. His help and care was invaluable; also a word of thanks to those who prepared Mary's grave.
We gratefully thank all of you who attended Mary's Reposing, Funeral Mass and Burial (in many cases travelling long distances), those who helped to coordinate, as well as those who sent Mass Cards, letters and messages of sympathy at that very sad time.
Mary's legacy of love, laughter and wisdom will be carried on through the many memories and the hearts she touched. Her independent spirit and kind heart will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
