Died 28th May 2019

Paddy and the family of the much loved Mary Beirne (née Keegan) wish to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who sympathised and supported us following her sudden and unexpected death. We will be forever grateful to the many people who paid their respects and offered their condolences on our recent sad loss.  Thank you to everyone who called to visit, those who attended her wake, removal, funeral Mass and burial.  To those who sent Mass cards, letters of sympathy, enrolments certificates, phone calls, text messages, floral tributes and who donated to Mayo/Roscommon Hospice Foundation in memory of Mary, we are truly grateful.  A special thanks to those who travelled long distances to be with us.  Thanks to our wonderful neighbours, friends and extended family who gave so generously of their time providing refreshments and looking after visitors over the many days.

We offer our sincere thanks to those special people who attended to Mary on the evening she died.  Thanks to the paramedics and the Gardaí for their professionalism and compassion.  Thank you to Fr. Donal Morris for his prayers and consolation on the evening and to both Fr. Donal Morris and Fr. Irek Kuzmicki for their prayers on the nights Mary was reposed at home.  Thank you to Fr. Donal Morris for celebrating the beautiful and heartfelt homily at Mary’s Funeral Mass and to Fr. Irek Kuzmicki, Fr. Raymond Browne, Fr. Francis Beirne and Fr. Joseph Delaney who con-celebrated the funeral Mass.

Many thanks to the Eucharistic Ministers for assisting with the service and to the local Ballinaheglish choir for their beautiful vocals and music.  A special word of thanks to the Roscommon Ploughing Association who organised the guard of honour on the day of the funeral.

Our grateful appreciation to Tom and Pat Smyth, Funeral Directors for their professionalism and kindness during those difficult days and for the dignified way the funeral was conducted.  Sincere thanks to the gravediggers for their care and attention to detail while preparing Mary’s final resting place and to the car parking attendants, traffic attendants and Gardaí who directed traffic and kept everything running smoothly at the Church and Oran graveyard.

Our gratitude also to the staff in Donamon Castle who provided a beautiful meal for our family and friends after the funeral.

To all of you who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our sincere gratitude and heartfelt appreciation.  The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
