Acknowledgment and First Anniversary

As we lovingly remember Mary, a wonderful wife, adoring mother and grandmother, loyal sister, aunt and friend, we recall her motivation in everything she did, her courage in the face of adversity, her wit, good humour and fun, artistic eye, her legendary culinary skills and her generous heart.

We wish to express our deep gratitude and appreciation to everybody who supported and sent sympathies to us at such a difficult time and throughout the year.  We know that many of you would have liked to attend Mary’s funeral but due to restrictions this was not possible.

A special thanks to our extended family, neighbours and friends for your thoughtfulness and for emotional and practical support. Míle buíochas to you who stood outside our home and lined the road to the church and graveyard also to you who played music along the way. This was a beautiful tribute to Mary at such an unprecedented time.

To all who sent Mass cards, beautifully written letters of sympathy and those who telephoned we say thank you. Your words brought us much comfort when we were unable to meet in person.

A very special word of thanks to the caring, supportive and dedicated staff at the Oncology Unit in KUH & CUH and to Dr. Conor Brosnan, Dingle. You all gave Mary excellent care.

To Fr. Eugene Kiely, Ballyferriter for his regular visits throughout the years. We know Mary really appreciated them. Go raibh míle maith agat.

To Fr. Michael Moynihan, Dingle who officiated at Mary’s funeral Mass we thank you most sincerely for your kind and meaningful words.

A heartfelt thank you to Cathy Griffin, Parish Secretary for all your help and for organising lovely music. It added greatly to the mass. Thanks to O’Connor’s Undertakers, Dingle, for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Marys Anniversary Mass will be celebrated and streamed at 11.30am on Sunday April 25th in St. Mary’s Church, Dingle.
