Mary’s children Jodie, Mark, Krystle & Aoife, her brother Jimmy, sister Caroline & all our family would like to extend our warmest thanks for the many ways in which our beloved Mary was supported through her illness & for the huge comfort & support brought to us throughout her funeral & during the weeks since.
Thank you to everyone who visited our homes in Naas & in Arklow, those who attended Mary's removal, funeral Mass & burial, sent Mass cards, letters & floral tributes, those who phoned or text, those who shared well wishes & memories of happy times online, those who travelled long distances to offer comfort & support & those who couldn’t be present but joined us in the celebration of Mary’s life via webcam.
Our heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses & staff of Naas General Hospital & to those of St. Luke's Radiation Oncology Centre at St. James's Hospital for their care in Mary’s treatment, they always had a smile for her & much needed coffee & sandwiches. Thank you to St. Brigid’s Hospice, especially to the staff who cared for Mary & those who showed compassion to our family. Thank you also to the wonderful carers from Comfort Keepers who assisted us in caring for our Mary in the home she loved & to the kind & helpful management & staff of Vista Pharmacy in Naas.
Special thanks to Fr. Pádraig Ó’Cochláin for his prayers, comforting guidance & beautiful funeral Mass & to Avril O’Toole & Bridget Kenny for such fabulous music.
To our kind neighbours, colleagues & dear friends, your friendship & support will never be forgotten.
Thanks also to the management & staff of The Arklow Bay Hotel for their hospitality, to Mick Doyle for tending to the grave & to all at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
Mary’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 14th April at 11.30am in St. Mary & Peter’s Church, Arklow. Those who cannot attend are welcome to join via webcam;
