As we lovingly remember Mary who passed away suddenly on 7th August 2023, her parents Willie and Rose, brother William, sisters Áine and Catríona, Mary's boyfriend Liam, sister-in-law Sinéad, brother-in-law Barry, Catríona's partner Ross and Mary's nephew Gavin wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. We would especially like to thank our extended family, friends, neighbours and everyone who helped with the Wake and Funeral arrangements. Thank you to all who called to the house, telephoned, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, sent flowers and left messages of condolence on RIP.ie. Your kindness and sincere offerings to our family has been such a blessing at this sad and difficult time.
Thank you to our friends and neighbours who without thought, came and gave our family support during the days following Mary's passing. We're sincerely grateful for the generosity shown by all those who called to our home and brought food and refreshments.
A heartfelt thanks to the emergency services who attended Mary. Their kindness and compassion shown to her was exemplary.
We appreciate all those who attended Mary's Reposal and Funeral Mass and to our relatives, friends and our work colleagues who travelled long distances to be with us and remember Mary's wonderful life.
We are sincerely and eternally grateful to Fr Sean, for the comfort and guidance he provided to us as a family and sincere thanks to Fr. Oliver Devine, the late Fr. Colm Conlon, Fr. Paddy Conlon, Fr. John Marren, Fr. Martin Reilly and Fr. David Brennan for assisting at celebrating Mary's life in the most beautiful Requiem Mass. A special thank you to Joe Wrynne for the lovely music and to all those who participated in the liturgy. Thanks also to Mary's work colleagues who provided a guard of honour and to our friends and neighbours who lined the route of Mary's Funeral cortege.
A sincere thanks to the wonderful gravediggers for the careful attention given to preparing Mary's final resting place. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped with traffic control during the wake and on the day of the Funeral.
Our sincere appreciation and gratitude to Declan Rooney and the staff in Rooney's Funeral Directors for their professionalism, support and guidance throughout this difficult and sad time.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere heartfelt thanks of gratitude to all who helped in any way. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your Intentions.
Mary's First Anniversary Mass will be held in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Drumraney, at 10:15am on Sunday 4th August 2024.
We think of you in silence,
We often speak your name,
But all we have are memories,
And your picture in a frame,
Your resting place we visit,
And put flowers there with care,
But no one knows the heartache,
As we turn and leave you there.
(Your Loving Family)
