Mary’s husband Barry, son Bryan & all her family would like to extend their most sincere thanks for the many expressions of sympathy & support shown to them throughout Mary’s illness, at the time of her funeral & during the weeks that have since passed.
Thank you to everyone who visited the funeral home & all those who attended Mary’s funeral Mass & cremation service, especially those who travelled long distances. Thank you to those who sent Mass cards, letters & texts, those who shared happy memories, kind & thoughtful words online & those who couldn’t be present but joined in the celebration of Mary’s life via webcam. Thanks also to those who donated generously to Wicklow Hospice in Mary’s memory;
Thank you to the wonderful palliative care team & to the many carers, especially Paula, & all those who helped us care for Mary for so long in the home she loved.
Special thanks to Fr Pádraig Ó’Cochláin for his friendship & for celebrating such a beautiful funeral Mass, to Fr. Martin Cosgrove for his committal service, to Fr. Michael Murphy for his prayers & words of comfort, to the sacristy team at St. Joseph’s Church & to Karla Tracey & Bridget Kenny for such lovely music.
To colleagues, neighbours & friends, old & new, your support & kindness will never be forgotten. To Mary’s dear friends from Woodenbridge Golf Club, we thank you for your Guard of Honour.
Thanks also to the management & staff of The Old Orchard Inn for their hospitality, to the team at Mount Jerome Crematorium & to all at John Sweeney and Sons Funeral Directors.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Mary’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 11th October at 6.30pm in St.’s Mary & Peter’s Church. Those who cannot attend are welcome to join via webcam:
