The family of the late Mary (Maura) Milligan, may she Rest In Peace, wish to express our deep gratitude to all of you who sympathised with us on our recent sad bereavement. The support and kindness shown to us when she sadly died and since then is very much appreciated.
Your kind messages of sympathy and condolence, phone calls, online messages, floral tributes, sympathy cards and Mass cards have been an enormous support to us all and are treasured beyond words.
Thank you to our extended family,dear friends and neighbours for your support and help during our Mother's wake and on the morning of the funeral, your presence along the route of the funeral cortege was very comforting, your thoughtful distant presence and your spiritual support gave us great comfort and care, your kindness has been a great consolation to us all.
Our sincere thanks to everyone who supported Mum in life, especially those who cared for her. Dr. Mullin, Millbrae Surgery, Stranorlar, for your generosity in visiting Mum in her home on countless occasions and for your graciousness every time she needed to visit you in the surgery. Audrey Flatley, Pharmacist and Staff, Stranorlar. Your constant support over the years is valued greatly.
Those who cared for Mum in her final years. The staff at Letterkenny University Hospital where she was admitted to several wards in her final two years, Emergency Department,Surgical 1, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and in particular the staff of Medical 2 , all the wonderful staff of St Joseph's Hospital, Stranorlar, where Mum was cared for on two occasions and with whom she felt very much at home and where she received impeccable care. The staff in Lifford Community Hospital who received Mum into their care also during the recent Pandemic and where she received lovely care also.
Our sincere and heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff of Archview Lodge Nursing Home, Letterkenny ,where Mum was cared for and where she died so lovingly in the arms of the staff there. We will always be grateful to Majella, Leanne, Dr. Michael Callaghan and every single member of staff for their compassion and generosity in the midst of the pandemic but about all for the most loving care and environment where Mum spent her final months and where she died so peacefully.
Our grateful thanks to the Chaplaincy Department at Letterkenny University Hospital. Fr. Martin Chambers and Fr.Shane Gallagher your Spiritual support to us and your Sacramental Care to Mum. This strengthened Mum on many occasions over the past two years. Fr. Brendan Ward, Chaplain Archview Lodge Nursing Home who attended Mum on several occasions and at the end. Fr Kieran McAteer, PP, St. Mary Immaculate Stranorlar for your kindness to Mum over the years and for your support and presence during Mum's wake and for your presence and prayers at Mum's graveside. Fr. Arkinson, PP, Sessiaghoneill for your comfort and prayers during the wake.
A special word of thanks to Fr. Martin Chambers. Your support and help during the wake , for the prayers before removal to the Chapel and for the beautiful Requiem Mass. It was a beautiful Mass and instilled great peace and consolation in our hearts.
Our gratitude to Cathy O' Hara for the liturgical music, beautiful and dignified. The grave diggers for your preparation of Mum's final resting place.
Thanks also to Gerard McCool, Funeral Directors, Gary McCool and Warren Thompson for your professional guidance and the most dignified undertaking of Mum's funeral.
It is impossible to thank everyone individually for the kindness shown to us, but your support and thoughtfulness will always be remembered and appreciated.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for you all on 17th June 2021 with our thanks for your support and our heartfelt gratitude.
