Mary Rookard

With love we remember Mary whose first anniversary occurs 30th December.
Mary’s Son Alan, Daughter Mary, and their families would like to acknowledge and express our heartfelt thanks to those who sympathised with us on our sad loss, provided support and kind assistance at such a very difficult time.
Thank you to everyone who visited our home, attended Mary’s removal, funeral Mass and burial, sent Mass cards, left messages of sympathy and floral tributes, to those who shared happy memories and to all those who travelled long distances to be with us.
Our sincere thanks to all the dedicated carers who looked after Mary in her home throughout her illness, we will be forever grateful. A special thanks to Borris Lodge Nursing Home for the unconditional care they gave to Mary during her stay there. Thank you to Dr Byrne and the community nurses for their care to Mary. Thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at St Luke’s Hospital for the care provided to Mary in her final months.
Thank you to Fr. Shem and Fr. Rory for the beautiful Mass and the support you gave us throughout. Thank you to the singers at the Mass. Thank you to the gravediggers and Hugh Byrne Funeral Directors for the care and professionalism shown to us at such a difficult time. We will be forever grateful.
Thank you to The Duiske Inn for the catering after the funeral.
We sincerely thank each and every one of you who helped and supported our family in any way. The kindness and comfort shown to us at such a difficult time will always be remembered. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
Mary is sadly missed and forever cherished by her Son Alan, Daughter Mary, Granddaughters Sinéad, Hannah and Lucy, Daughter in Law Mary, and Son in Law Grant.
“May the winds of Heaven blow softly
And whisper in your ear
How much we love and miss you
And wish that you were here”
