 Maureen Ruane
(née O’Donnell)

Oranmore, Galway / Abbeyfeale, Limerick

Maureen’s daughters , Noreen , Eveyln , Patricia , Martina , Michelle and Catherine and her son Anthony and their extended families would like to express their sincere gratitude to all who supported us in our recent sad loss.

The family appreciates the care from our extended families , friends , colleagues , and wonderful neighbours for their help and continued support . The visits to our home , the attendance to the funeral mass and burial , the condolences shared with us on RIP ,  mass cards and flowers received with the beautiful tributes and shared memories . These bring great comfort now and will in time to come.

We offer a special thanks to Rev Fr. Diarmuid Hogan P.P who celebrated her life at  her beautiful funeral mass with us and Co celebrant  Fr John O Gorman, and to both Priests who prayed with,  and for her in these her final and sacred days and hours . A very special thank you to Maureens' Great Grandchiildren, Niamh and Ruby Lally.  They served the Mass in touching and beautiful way.

Thank you to  Willie , Caitriona, Colm and Shane  and  the team at O' Flaherty funeral directors for their thoughtfulness, compassion and professionalism throughout this difficult time. Further thanks is offered to Ailbhne Hession for her beautiful singing and music and the gravediggers for their hard work and dedication.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and doctors at UCHG who cared diligently for Mam in the final weeks of her life and a special thanks to Breda and the night Nurses who provided Maureen with care in her home in her final few days.

Our family wish to extend a special thanks to all the staff at the Anam Chroi  day center in Claregalway for providing a warm and friendly home away from home for  Maureen every Wednesday for many years . A special thanks to Joe , who always had a smile for her, and a joke as he drove her , there and back with great care and patience. We also wish to thank Sarah, for the care she provided Maureen for the last couple of years , as if she was one of her own.

It is impossible to thank everyone individually , we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as token of our appreciation for everyone who helped  us in any way whether big or small
