The family of the late Maurice O’Connor of Midleton, Co. Cork, wishes to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us following our sad loss.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and relatives who supported us remotely during what was a strict Covid-19 service and burial. For those who telephoned, paid tributes online, sent cards and messages of condolence and stood on the roadside as the hearse passed, we are truly grateful.
A most special word of thanks to the management, nurses and staff of Cork University Hospital for their kindness, compassion and extraordinary nursing care during very Covid-19 restrictive days. To the staff of Homeinstead and his closest friends who helped Maurice live out his final years as independently as possible we are forever indebted. To Hyde’s Funeral Home, we are eternally grateful for their sincerity, professionalism and discretion in everything they did. Our sincerest thanks to Dr Hugh Doran GP for his dedication.
To Fr Ryan who spoke so eloquently to a congregation online in Midleton, to family in Australia, the UK and the US who could not be with us, we are enormously grateful.
To those who helped in any way, your contribution is gratefully appreciated and to the people of Midleton, dad held you all in the highest esteem.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
The Anniversary Mass shall be celebrated at 10.00am at the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Midleton, on January 25th, 2022.
