We offer our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful neighbours, friends and well-wishers who visited Mena, attended the wake, funeral and burial and who provided so much emotional and practical support for all of us at this sad time. For those who travelled long distances, telephoned, sent cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who made donations to St. Francis Hospice, we are extremely grateful.
A special word of thanks to Professor Desmond Carney and his Oncology team in the Mater Private Hospital, Dublin; to Dr. Elaine Wallace, Maura Fagan, the Palliative Care Team and all Staff in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda; the Sisters of the Medical Missionaries of Mary; to Dr. Faith Cranfield, Sr. Margaret Cashman & everyone in St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown for their impeccable care of and kindness towards Mena; to Dr. Cronin and the staff of the Group Medical Practice in Cloughvalley and the Public Health Nurses of Carrickmacross; to the members of Mannan Castle Golf Club for their respectful guard of honour; to all those who participated in the Mass, especially Fr. To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Mena’s Months Mind Mass will be in St Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross on Sunday 28th May at 9:30 am.
