Michael's family would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to all those who sympathised and comforted us on the recent sad loss of our very dear husband, Dad, Grandad and brother.
Thank you to all those who called to our homes, for your kind words and gestures, those who attended the funeral, sent mass cards, sympathy cards and expressed sympathy online and by phone. Thank you to all those who travelled long distances to visit Michael during his short illness or to attend the funeral, including our family from Hastings.
We would like to thank Fr. Mattie Long together with Fr. Michael Farragher and Fr. Michael Treacy for the beautiful funeral mass and thank you to all who took part in the liturgy. Thank you to all our kind relatives, friends and neighbours who brought food to our home and who helped in so many ways. Thanks to the Gardaí and neighbours that provided traffic control. A very warm thank you to Seamus Moran Undertaker for his compassion, support and guidance and a special word of gratitude to Mary Treacy. To the gravediggers for the care taken with Michael's final resting place. Thanks to Flowers4U for the beautiful flower arrangements and to the Westport Country Lodge for the lovely meal after the funeral.
A special word of thanks to those who cared for Michael during his short illness. To all the staff of Ward D in Mayo University Hospital and the staff of Mayo Hospice - we will never forget the support, compassion and kindness shown to Michael and to all our family during such a difficult time.
Thank you to everyone who donated to Mayo Hospice in memory of Michael. It is impossible to thank everyone individually but please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere gratitude.
