Mick,
Loved with a love
Beyond all telling
Missed with a grief
Beyond all tears
The family of the late Mick Byrne, Ballacolla, Co Laois, wish to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to all who offered their support after Mick’s unexpected passing.
We firstly want to thank everyone who came to Mick’s aid; the McEvoy family; Pat, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the kindness and support you provided in his last moments; the paramedics, nurses and doctors in the Mater Hospital; we want to thank you for your professionalism and continuous efforts.
To everyone who offered their sympathies and support, travelled long distances, sent mass/sympathy cards, letters of condolence and phone calls; thank you. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all those who helped around our home, especially our immediate and extended family, neighbours and lifelong friends; who provided refreshments, assisted with parking and so much more.
To the Ballacolla community and Mick’s wide circle of friends, we were so moved to see how many lives Mick had an impact on. We were truly humbled and gratified to see the guards of honour provided by Abbeyleix Golf Club, Clough/Ballacolla GAA and Abbey Bowls. We would also like to acknowledge the work carried out on the Community Hall in advance of Mick’s funeral, a building that symbolises Mick’s talents and sense of community.
Thank you to Fr. Karl Bergin who was a source of enormous support and consolation to us during this sad time. We would also like to thank Fr. Noel Maher, PP, for assisting in Mick’s Requiem mass which truly encapsulated Mick’s busy and remarkable life. To Eamon Kelly, undertaker for your sensitive and professional handling of arrangements; the gravediggers; and Martin Delaney, Jim Ring and John Hosey for providing the perfect music, we wish to offer our esteemed gratitude and thanks.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation to all.
A smile for all a heart of gold
One of the best this world could hold
Never selfish always kind
A beautiful memory left behind
Linda, Eoin, Alan, Danny & Shane.
