We lovingly remember Michael on the first anniversary of his passing on 30th September 2021. His wife  Majella, sons Owen and Julian and daughter Laurie would like to thank everyone who sympathised and had great empathy for our sad loss.

Special thanks to our neighbours who stood in silence and respect for Michael as the funeral cortege left his home and for the kind support throughout the year in helping us with our grief.

A thank you also to all the employees of Irish Distillers Ltd., who assembled outside Glounthaune church as a mark of respect for Michael as his funeral passed. It was a very kind gesture and greatly appreciated by his family. We thank Paul Wickham; General Manager of Irish Distillers, for his articulate tribute to Michael on The Barrelman Bulletin for December 2021. Our gratitude also goes to Rosemary Gilroy who put together a token memory book of Michael’s career spanning 39 years.  

A special word of thanks to Michael’s close friends; Paul Keyes and Michael Galvin, who gave kind and affectionate speeches at his funeral and for their continuous support to his family.

To our extended family and friends that helped us in our grief,  we sincerely appreciate the condolences, Mass and sympathy cards and floral tributes.
