MICHILÍN Ó MURCHÚ
On this first anniversary of Michilín’s passing, we, Doireann & Yvonne and the extended Murphy families give thanks for the wonderful gift his life was and still is for us.
We wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on Michilin’s passing. To those who called personally to our home in ‘Dún Aoibhinn’, telephoned, attended Michilín’s reposing, funeral Mass and burial in such great numbers, to those who travelled long distances, sent Mass cards, floral tributes, letters, emails, text messages of sympathy, we thank you.
A special and sincere word of thanks to our wonderful neighbours, family and friends who rallied around us, brought and prepared food, kept the tea flowing, directed traffic and for their continuing kindness, generosity and support. Gabhaimid buíochas ó chroí le mo chomhghleacaithe uile sa Chigireacht agus sa Roinn Oideachais as an tacaíocht, grá agus cairdeas leanúnach a thugann siad dúinn.
We extend our gratitude to Fr. Michael Mc Grath, Fr. Ciaran Mc Govern, Fr. Frank Garvey, Fr. Brendan O’ Sullivan and Fr. Simon Cadam for the very special requiem funeral mass. A heartfelt thanks to Kim Fleming, Donna Mc Cann, Éilish Comerford, members of Newtownforbes-Longford CCÉ and Clondra Music Group who paid a fitting tribute to Michilín with their beautiful singing and music at our home and at Michilín’s funeral mass.
A special word of thanks to Doireann’s friends, prefects and staff of Meánscoil Mhuire Longford who provided a heart-touching guard of honour. We wish to express our gratitude to An Garda Síochána, Longford, for their assistance with traffic.
