The family of the late Niall O’Callaghan, who died on 13th of May 2023, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our great loss.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many family members, friends, neighbours, and well-wishers who visited our home, attended Niall’s funeral service and burial and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who made charitable donations, we are truly grateful. We were so fortunate and grateful to receive well wishes from family and friends far away in Australia, Portland Oregon, New Zealand and Canada.
A special word of thanks to all the wonderful doctors and nurses in ICU, University Hospital Cork for the wonderful care Niall received in his final days and the compassion shown to his family. Thank you to Father Hickey for celebrating Niall’s Requiem Mass.
To the Musgraves team thank you so much for the well wishes and wonderful catering you provided over the duration of Niall's funeral. We were so grateful for your support. Thank you to Crowley’s funeral home Ballincollig for the compassion and empathy shown to us as a family. A special thank you to Niall’s niece Charlotte, his nephew James as well as Sharon, dear friend of Gemma, for their exceptional support after Niall's passing.
Family was everything to Niall. His adored wife Christine, his five children- Matthew, David, Rachel, Aaron and Mark, their partners Paula, Gemma, Wilf, Megan and May and his cherished eight grandchildren Saorise, Freya, Loren, Zach, Cian, Pearl, Art and Walt, were his world. We will forever feel his loss.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude from the O’Callaghan family.
