Passed away peacefully on June 18th 2024. Nick’s wife Anna, son John, daughters Liz and Anne Marie together with their families, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their recent sad bereavement. Thank you to all those who visited our home, attended the funeral home, requiem mass and burial, those who sent mass cards, text messages, sympathy cards, letters of sympathy, those who left beautiful messages of condolences on RIP.ie and those who travelled from far and near. 

We would like to especially thank Dr. O’Beirne and Tracey in Rosbercon Medical centre and to the staff at Burkes Pharmacy. A very special word of thanks to Margaret, Dr. Nick, nurses, carers and staff in the New Houghton Hospital for their exceptional care of Nick and our family during his time there, we will be forever grateful. Thank you to Fr. Joe McGrath P.P. and Fr Tom Orr C.C. for their prayerful support, to the FCA Pipe band and New Ross Musical Society for their guard of Honour and to Jimmy Kenny for blowing the hunting horn, to Brendan, Niamh and staff at the Horse and Hound and to Frances and Joanne Cooney and staff for their care and professionalism.

To his beloved HFC Brass Band, New Ross, and to all the players who travelled from far and near to honour Nick with the beautiful music during his funeral mass, a massive thank you, you done him proud. We owe a debt of gratitude to all our relatives, great friends and neighbours in Charleton Hill and Mylers Park who supported and helped us in every way possible, your outstanding kindness and generosity will always be remembered and appreciated. We received goodness and kindness from so many, it’s impossible to name everyone, but we as a family will be eternally grateful for your support and friendships.

          As we cannot thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our gratitude and appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Nick’s months mind mass will take place on Sunday, July 14th, at 12pm in St. Mary & Michael’s Parish Church, New Ross.
