ACKNOWLEDGEMENT and FIRST ANNIVERSARY

As we lovingly remember Noel on the first anniversary of his death, we his children Alana, Pádraig and Leona, wish to express our sincere gratitude to all those who supported us during the past year and for the many expressions of sympathy following Dad’s passing. We appreciate the kindness and care shown to us as a family during this difficult time.  We are very grateful to those who came from near and far to be with us for the celebration of Dad’s life, those who sent Mass cards, letters of sympathy, phone calls/messages, flowers, condolences and those who expressed condolences and memories of Dad online. We are truly grateful.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Dillons Cross Medical Centre and to Marymount Hospice for their exceptional care of Dad and to us as a family, we will forever be thankful for the dignity and respect shown to Dad.

A special word of thanks to Brian and the wonderful team at Jerh O’Connor’s Funeral Homes, Coburg St. for their compassionate guidance and professionalism. Sincere gratitude to Fr. Micheál Ó’Loingsigh for leading the Funeral Mass and celebration of Dad’s life and to the Sacristan and all those in the Grenagh parish who prepared the church so beautifully and assisted with traffic and parking on the day. To all those musicians who filled those difficult days with uplifting and beautiful music and to our cousin Danny for singing Dad’s favourite song at the graveside, Parting Glass, so beautifully.  Dad loved a trad session and sing-song and he most certainly got a fantastic send off over those few days – thank you to all.

We are truly thankful to all our wonderful neighbours, friends, family, colleagues and all of Dad’s workmates who went above and beyond for us as a family at that time. To everyone who has been there for us throughout the year, we are forever grateful for the continued support. A special thought for our beautiful mom, Eilish who recently passed away and is now reunited with Dad in eternal heavenly peace, side-by-side and free from suffering and pain and having the best catch up – a thought that gives us peace and comfort. We love and miss you both every day and we know you are looking down on us and guiding us through life, until we meet again.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement of our deepest gratitude and appreciation.

The First Anniversary Mass for Dad will be held Saturday, 8th June, at 7.30pm in St. Lachteen’s Church, Grenagh.

We are sending a dove to heaven,
With a parcel on its wings,
Be careful when you open it,
Its full of beautiful things,
Inside are a million kisses,
wrapped up in a million hugs,
To say how much we miss you both,
And sending you all our love.
