First Anniversary and Acknowledgement
In loving memory of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother
Rose Herlihy
whose 1st Anniversary occurs on 20th April 2023.
Sadly missed by her loving family, sons Joe and John, daughters Roseann, Helen, Sharon and Trish, daughters-in law, sons-in law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and families.
As we remember Rose on the 1st anniversary of her sad passing, her family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to our extended family and everyone who sympathised with us on our sad loss. We were deeply touched by the volume of cards, letters, calls, texts, kind words, flowers and RIP.ie messages of condolence. It was a great comfort to know that you had us in your thoughts and prayers at that very sad time.
Thank you to Midleton Parish who officiated so beautifully at the funeral Mass and at the graveside. Also thanks to John O’Farrell & Son Funeral home for all their care, kindness and professionalism.
We would also like to extend our deep gratitude to all of the wonderful staff at Padre Pio Nursing Home, Rochestown who cared for Rose so tenderly in her final few weeks. Thanks to the Public Health Nurses at Castlemartyr Health Centre and all the staff who cared for Rose in her final years. A special thanks to Rose’s home help carers especially Pauline, Eleanor and Anne. We will always hold you in high regard for the help and tender kindness you showed Rose.
To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. A special Mass has been be offered for your intentions.
Perhaps you sent a lovely card,
Or sat quietly in a chair,
Perhaps you sent a funeral spray,
If so we saw it there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words,
As any friend could say;
Perhaps you were not there at all,
Just thought of us that day,
Whatever you did to console our hearts,
We thank you, so very much
Whatever the part.
