We, the family of Paddy Burns, his wife May, his sons Martin and Pat, his daughters Catriona and Breda, his daughters in law and sons in law, his grandchildren and his sister Nora, would like to acknowledge and sincerely thank all those who sympathised with us and offered condolences on the passing of Paddy.
A special word of thanks to those who attended Paddy’s wake, funeral mass and burial, sent mass cards, enrolments, phone calls, texts and online condolences. Your presence and support are gratefully appreciated.
Special thanks to Fr. Shane McCaughey and Fr. Kevin Connolly for visiting Paddy during his illness. We are grateful to Fr. Shane for his guidance in preparing for Paddy’s funeral and for celebrating a beautiful personal funeral mass. Thanks to Martin Hughes the sacristan, the Eucharist Ministers and Barry Hughes for the poignant music.
Sincere and heartfelt appreciation to the wonderful carers who assisted Paddy’s family in providing him with the comfort and dignity he truly deserved during his final months. We also thank the public health nurses, the primary care team, the doctors and staff of Group Practice Cloughvalley and the staff of Allcare Pharmacy who assisted in Paddy’s medical care.
To our wonderful relations, neighbours and friends, a most sincere thank you. Your kindness, compassion and generosity will never be forgotten. We would like to thank Killanny Geraldines GFC and Inniskeen GFC who provided a guard of honour and those who assisted with parking during Paddy’s wake.
Thanks to Lonergan Undertakers for their expert guidance and professional and dignified management of Paddy’s funeral.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our sincere gratitude and appreciation.
Paddy’s months memory mass will be celebrated on Sunday 21st April at 9:30am in St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross.
