1959 - 2024
Mary, Brian, Fiona and family of the late Padraic Monaghan would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who sympathised with us on the recent loss of our beloved Padraic.
Thank you to all who attended the reposing and funeral Mass, those who travelled long distances, watched online, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, text messages and for all the wonderful tributes to Padraic. We are eternally grateful for your love, support and kindness during this very sad and difficult time.
Padraic would have been proud of the guard of honour and delighted to have been carried shoulder high along Rossmore Road – huge thanks to Padraic’s friends and former class and teammates from St Colman’s College, Claremorris, University College Galway, Garrymore GAA, Ballyboden GAA and St Judes GAA. Thank you to Mayo GAA for the flag, which was most fittingly draped over Padraic’s coffin, and to the children and staff of Bishop Shanahan N.S. for adding the Dublin colours.
Thank you to those who organised the collection and return of the Sigerson and Hogan Cups. Huge thank you to Fr Joe for the beautiful Mass, to Barbara for the wonderful singing, to Massey Bros. Funeral Directors for their kindness, professionalism and attention to detail.
Thank you to Padraic’s former and present colleagues in KPMG, to our wonderful neighbours and all our friends in St Judes GAA for their help, guidance, support and love since Padraic’s diagnosis.
We also wish to thank all the doctors, nurses and carers who treated and cared for Padraic during his illness. Special thanks to all the staff in Solas Medical Centre, O’Sullivan’s Pharmacy, St Luke’s Hospital, Rathgar, and the Palliative Care Unit of Our Lady’s Hospice, Harolds Cross.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere thanks and appreciation. The holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
